Good afternoon everyone,
I hope you all managed to get a bit of rest this weekend. We have another busy week ahead.
To our travelers: Welcome back to those who landed in San Francisco! Half of our music family arrived back at Inderkum via charter buses several hours ago. We await the arrival of the rest of our music family, who will be landing here in Sacramento very early in the morning.
To our non-travelers: We are excited to come back together and catch up with all of you!
Here are your announcements:
As the students return to school tomorrow morning (yes, it will be difficult for them - please support them as much as possible), the Homework Agreements and the corresponding homework for our traveling students are due. Please connect with your students and remind them to place the H.A. and the work into their backpacks before leaving for school in the morning.
Please mark your calendars with the following important dates:
*Monday, April 16th - Homework Agreements and all work for traveling students are due back to Inderkum
*Saturday, April 21st - NCBA Large Ensemble Concert Festival (hosted by Inderkum)
*Thursday, May 10th - Spring Concert
*Saturday, May 12th - Awards Night
*Tuesday, May 22nd - Graduation Night (all band members are required to perform)
Details about these events will be distributed soon.
In volunteer news, please consider volunteering for the NCBA Concert Festival this Saturday, April 21st. I have linked the sign-up genius. As the host school we need to represent Inderkum in the best way possible.
Please also consider volunteering for our weekly Sunday Matinee Bingo sessions. I have linked the sign-up genius and our website. Bingo is the largest fundraiser for the music program, and we need it regularly and predictably staffed each week. Please reach out to our volunteer coordinators for more detailed information.
As a reminder, especially for our traveling students, please make sure that instruments make it back to school tomorrow morning. We have only 5 more rehearsal days before the performances on Saturday.
If I may be of assistance in any way, please reach out to me. I am happy to help you in all ways possible.
As always thank you for the support of your students and of the music program. You all are appreciated very much!
Have a wonderful week!
