Good afternoon everyone,
Happy Earth Day! I hope you are enjoying this gorgeous weekend!
We have just 24 school days left in the year. We can do it!
Here are your announcements:
Many thanks to our parent volunteers and students who helped make the NCBA Large Group Ensemble Festival at Inderkum yesterday a success. As the host school there were many jobs to be done, and our music family came together and worked hard! We appreciate your support very much.
In fundraising news, please consider volunteering at Bingo on Sundays. Bingo is the largest source of fundraising monies for the music program, and it is extremely important that we have it fully staffed each week. Please reach out to our volunteer coordinators or visit our website for more information. You may also go directly to thesign-up genius to select a time to volunteer. Thank you!
Although our major fundraising events have concluded for the year, donations to the music program are always appreciated! Please visit our website for specifics regarding the donation process.
The yearbook for the music program is currently being finalized. It is extremely important that yearbooks are ordered by the deadline, April 24th. Please assist your student in going directly to the Picaboo Yearbooks website and entering the passcode: IHSMusic17-18 to begin the ordering process. Your student will have the option of personalizing pages after the ordering process is complete. Please encourage your student to use the personalization tutorial before beginning the personalization process.
Please mark your calendars with the following important dates:
*Thursday, May 10th - Spring Concert
*Saturday, May 12th - Awards Night
*Tuesday, May 22nd - Graduation Night (all band members are required to perform)
Details about these events will be distributed soon.
I encourage you to regularly visit Inderkum's website for important dates, events, etc to avoid scheduling conflicts with your student.
Again, we have just 24 school days left in the year. This is a very busy, stressful time for the students. With the numerous end-of-year activities, including trips, prom, sports, and finals, students begin to feel overwhelmed and fatigued. Pleaseconnect with your student regularly and support them in all ways possible. Pleaseencourage self-care with your student and remind them of the importance of rest, meals, and down time.
Thank you for your continued support of the music program, but more importantly, for your continued support of the students. They have had an incredibly busy year, and it is our families that make many of their educational experiences possible.
If you have questions, concerns, or comments, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I am always here to help.
Have a wonderful week!
