Good afternoon everyone,
Spring Break is almost behind us, and we have an exciting couple of weeks ahead. Are you ready?
For our Florida travelers: IT'S GO TIME! This email should find your student (nearly) packed, with homework near completion, and thinking about an early bedtime. Please, please everyone: DOUBLE-CHECK TO MAKE ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN THAT YOUR STUDENT HAS MET ALL REQUIREMENTS FOR PACKING AND TRAVEL. I have sent out numerous communications with lists, links and helpful tips to make preparation efficient and thorough. Remember, our immediate goal: TO CLEAR TSA AND BOARD THE AIRCRAFT ON TIME AND WITHOUT INCIDENT. Attention to detail will determine whether or not we accomplish this goal.
Call time tomorrow morning is 3:00 a.m., sharp! Students are to report to the band room. Parents, this is your opportunity to introduce yourself to your student's chaperone and provide your contact information. Your student needs to be ready for the check-in process, and all students should be prepared for a packing inspection. We ask for your patience during this process.
If you have any other questions, please reach out to me as soon as possible. I am regularly checking my email to be certain that issues are addressed timely and thoroughly before our departure.
For the non-traveling members of our band family, it is business as usual as students return to a normal schedule of classes. Your students need to remember toBRING THEIR INSTRUMENTS BACK TO SCHOOL. Please encourage your students to place them next to their backpacks now in order to be prepared for tomorrow. We trust that the students will continue to represent Inderkum in the most respectful way possible for our guest teachers. Thank you for your continued support and commitment to great music!
A huge congratulations to our Winter Percussion and Winter Guard units for their great work at the NCBA Championships yesterday in Stockton. The students had a great season, and we are so proud of them! The Percussion unit took first place in their division, and Color Guard A took the Championships. Way to go!
Special thanks go to the instructional staff for the Percussion and Guard units. We appreciate the dedication, focus, and commitment to the students and their success on all levels.
Continued thanks go to our directors, Mr. Hines and Ms. Agpalza, for their commitment to the students, to the program, and to excellence.
Below you will find video links for the Percussion performance and for all Guard performances (units A, B, and C). Please watch and enjoy!
Please look for communications from me throughout the week with updates about our Florida travelers and with information about our upcoming NCBA Large Group Ensemble Festival (hosted by Inderkum) on April 21st.
If there is anything I may do for you, please contact me.
Thank you all, and have a fantastic day!
