Good evening everyone,
I hope this email finds you rested and ready for the week.
Here are your announcements (this communication is lengthy - please read it in its entirety):
In volunteer news, we continue to have needs at our Sunday bingo sessions. Volunteering at bingo does not require special skills or experience. We will show you everything you need to know. Please consider joining us! This year we plan to add an additional shift to our Sunday bingo schedule (from 9:30 - 3:30). Something to consider: Working just two of these new shifts would fulfill your expected volunteer hours (10) for the entire school year! Please examine the sign-up genius for available volunteer opportunities. You may also view our website or contact our volunteer coordinatorsor bingo manager directly to get more information. Thank you so much for supporting this weekly fundraising event.
Continuing with volunteer news, our uniform coordinator will begin the fitting process for marching season. There are two dates for volunteer opportunities available (September 15th and September 22nd). The sign-up genius for these opportunities is now live. Please consider signing up to assist our amazing uniform coordinator with this important job.
Marching season is quickly approaching. We will become very busy very quickly. That being said, there will be multiple volunteer opportunities and donations needed in order to successfully navigate through and execute these events. Volunteers will be needed to drive trucks, prepare and serve food, secure the tent/bus area, and shadow the students in the warm-up zones. We will also need various food-related items donated for these events. The sign-up genius will go live soon, so please be on the lookout for this communication.
Our booster president spoke to you at the mandatory parent meeting about volunteer expectations in the music program. I have attached his communication to this email. Please read it in its entirety. If you have further questions about the information or the expectations, please reach out to our president so that he may clarify matters for you.
In fundraising news, the cookie dough fundraiser is in full swing and ends this Friday, September 14th. The word of the week is : SELL! SELL, SELL, SELL!!! Proceeds will fund your students' band accounts for future travel, band fees, etc. As this is a non-travel year, this is a good opportunity to really build up the balances in the accounts. Please encourage your students to reach out to neighbors, teachers, family members, and friends to get this cookie dough sold! Order forms and money need to be submitted to the band directors no later than September 14th. Any checks can be made out to Inderkum Music Boosters. When the cookie dough is delivered to Inderkum, we will need volunteers to sort and distribute it to the students and their families. The sign-up genius is now live, so please consider joining us. We would really appreciate the help.
Continuing with fundraising news, please save the date: October 2nd. Chipotle Night is coming (at 3830 Truxel Road). Please see the information below. I have also linked the menu for your convenience. Mention Inderkum's band and 50% of all sales will be donated to the program. So, please don't cook dinner that night and join us!
For a more detailed look at fundraisers for the music program, please visit our website. We have many fun things planned this school year (among them: cookie dough sales, Powder Puff football game, Tiger Bazaar, Chipotle Night, Paint Night, and Poker Night). Thank you so much for your support!
Please continue to encourage your students to support the color guard with their popcorn sales each Friday during lunches in the atrium. Our color guard is amazing!
As previously mentioned the band is in need of cases of water. Lots of water. Lots and lots of water. The students go through many bottles during marching season. Donations are greatly appreciated, and they can be dropped off in the band room on Monday and Thursday afternoons before 6:30 p.m.
All students should have completed and submitted the required paperwork for participation in the program. Band fees are now due. If you have questions or concerns about the band fees, please reach out to the band directors. The are happy to communicate with you.
Please mark your calendar with these important dates:

Please note: There was an error on the original master calendar for the Fall Semester. Specifically, our Winter Concert date was incorrect. The correct date is Thursday, December 13th. We apologize for this error.
I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE YOU to regularly check Inderkum's master calendar for important dates, events, etc. Many of our students are involved in extracurricular activities, sports, and/or have jobs. Please help your students avoid scheduling conflicts as much as possible.
Welcome to our new band families, and many thanks to all of you that have signed up to receive my communications. You can expect a detailed communication each Sunday evening, with various highlighted information, document attachments, and hyperlinks (in teal blue). During busier times, such as marching and football season, email traffic will be heavier. Please keep my communications in your email inbox. If for some reason you are having difficulty receiving my communications, please check your "junk" or "spam" folders. I am told that my communications from the Microsoft platform occasionally end up in these folders for an unknown reason. Of course, you may contact me if you have other concerns or difficulties.
If I can be of assistance to you, please reach out to me. I am here to help you.
Thank you, and have a fantastic week!
